Once again at Crazy Hip Blog Mamas, it's Photo Friday. Today's theme is Handmade. (Which I'm sure you guessed by the BIG BOLD ITALICIZED TITLE I used. duh.)
I'm not a very creative person. I sometimes will binge on making crafty things. But it's been a good while since that has happened. Besides food. I cook several times a week. But I've chosen to NOT disgust you with my Culinary Genius.
Instead, I'm gonna force you to look at my Christmas card from 2006. Stinkerbell drew it with very little help from her unartistic mommy.

4 Stockings. 1 each for Stinkerbell, The Mighty Hunter, Auburn Gal Always and the baby who would not be born for a full month after Christmas. But she didn't want him to be left out.
A Christmas Tree. I tell you that because I feel I must. Not because you wouldn't know a Christmas Tree. You're much smarter than I.

And the Nativity Scene. There's the bright glow of the Star, the Manger glows too because "the baby Jesus is in there and He glows", a lamb, a donkey, Mary, Joseph, and a chicken. Chickens are not the most popular animal depicted at the birth of our Lord and Savior, but Stinkerbell is convinced there were chickens. And who am I to argue with the logic of a 5 year-old I call Stinkerbell?
I LOVE this Christmas card. Because Stinkerbell drew it and work very hard to make it purdy.
Now scoot on over to CHBM and see what the others are bragging 'bout.

Great idea! I'm embarrassed to say we never got our holiday cards out this year. At least there's next year...and now I've got a great idea!

If I get the kids started now I might be able to have enough for the Holidays. Thanks for sharing.
